Rachael first started working in polymer clay as a child and went on to discover ceramics at an evening class in 1995. Inspired by mythology and legend Rachael makes a range of fae, dragons and other creatures; working in polymer clay to create elves and fairies that would be at home in the hedgerows of Wiltshire where she lives and working in clay to create friendly dragons that love a fireside spot in the home. Rachael is also mad about hares and loves making them, each with their own individual character. All work is one of a kind and made without moulds; ceramics are finished using a variety of methods, including glazing and paint effects, fairies are dressed in organza, lace and ribbon and are finished with glittering wings and mohair wigs.
